This one is growing by the side of the house and was already in place when we moved in - one of the only large shrubs on the property. Its ability to take the heat and drought are amazing; I think I've watered it once a month at best this year! I'm getting ready to put a new one in the garden proper... :)Amy@SmallSunnyGardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02490564566463354419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7308776883387508973.post-33688345111156076612016-08-30T09:05:52.008-07:002016-08-30T09:05:52.008-07:00so lovely, Amy. I always like to see what I can get away with in monochrome... ;-) What I usually do is simply set the camera to shoot monochrome (my Nikon has very nice sepia settings but I do this sometimes even with my phone camera). That way I can see what I'm getting and just think in mono as I work. In most cases I increase the contrast for best results. These are all straight out of camera. I never can get anyone else to try it, but I love doing it this way ;-)Amy@SmallSunnyGardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02490564566463354419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7308776883387508973.post-19227975536560927042016-08-27T18:32:49.270-07:002016-08-27T18:32:49.270-07:00Those are beautiful! I imagine they are much more numerous in your area! He is indeed a "dear old friend" and "still glorious and young"--reminding me to hold on to the enthusiasm and excitement of youth ... in spite of the years! thanks :-)Hollishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10788942181934895493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7308776883387508973.post-62048521838341772262016-03-11T12:30:48.145-08:002016-03-11T12:30:48.145-08:00Thank you!Thank you!Amy@SmallSunnyGardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02490564566463354419noreply@blogger.com
