Beautiful, Amy! My little wild sunflowers are just starting to bloom. It's great to see them--they're so cheery, but also reminders that summer is starting to wind down, sigh
They're wonderful flowers, and I was amazed to find some growing even here as a roadside wildflower last year. I imagine they are much more numerous in your area! It is still distinctly summer here, but the year and the weather are changing -- though autumn sounds very good after the rather difficult heat we've had through summer! ;-)
